Mark Zuckerberg Wants Young Children to Use Facebook
In an open letter, the publisher of Consumer Reports has asked Facebook to take stronger steps to keep kids under 13 off the site.
It is assumed that over 7.5 million children under 13 are using Facebook. There is a growing concern among consumer watchdog groups over teen privacy on Facebook, but Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that he would like to make the social networking site available to preteens as an educational tool.
Facebook wants to change the privacy laws that make it illegal for preteens to use the site, but the social networking site intends to fight the law. "That will be a fight we take on at some point," Facebook CEO said, making clear his views on the use of Facebook by preteens.
